The Humanitarian Standards Partnership (HSP)

The Humanitarian Standards Partnership (HSP) aims to improve the quality and accountability of humanitarian action through the promotion of humanitarian standards. The HSP offers training, tools, and policy and practical guidance for a harmonised approach to working with standards.

The Humanitarian Standards Partnership contains two standalone handbooks which focus on Markets: The Minimum Economic Recovery Standards (MERS) and the Minimum Standard for Market Analysis (MISMA) . They both link directly to the Sphere Appendix ‘Delivering assistance through markets’ and are also referenced in relevant technical standards across the Sphere handbook. Additionally two standalone technical handbooks mainstream markets and reference the MISMA and MERS: the SEADS and LEGS handbooks.
