Helping farmers restart their agriculture activities is one of the most common interventions after a crisis – both for those who remain on their land and for refugees and IDPs forced to relocate. But, too often, this support overlooks the local systems farmers depend on and can unintentionally undermine their resilience. To improve this response, Mercy Corps, under the ISSD Africa program, is preparing a new report focused on market-based approaches to seed security in fragile contexts. The report summarizes current knowledge and offers options for more effective assistance and, before it is published, we want your feedback.
Do you have insights or experiences to contribute? What unique challenges and opportunities exist for displaced populations?
The session will quickly summarize the key information from the draft report and then hold hopefully a lively discussion.
Please REGISTER and join the conversation on June 3rd.
